Brenda Seefeldt has been in youth ministry for 35 years and is an ordained minister. This means she really loves teenagers (she does!) and that she has “coached” many teens through high school, through singleness and into marriage. She has lots and lots of practical experience.

Brenda is also married to her husband, John Amodea, for 19 years. Brenda dated for 18 years before she married her husband. 18 years gives her lots and lots of practical experience.

Brenda is in a good marriage with a good match. She wouldn’t have this if it wasn’t for those 18 years of dating. Not that anyone wants to have 18 years of dating! The length of time is not what is important. If she had listened to others’ philosophies or simply “waited on God,” she would not have met John. If she didn’t believe in her brave dating practices, she never would have had the first date with John. The running joke is that “John is not her type, but he is the perfect match.” Appearances and wisdom from John will also be a part of the brave dating practices.
